Kaci Keech’s fight against Lymphoma

As many of you know, my only sis is battling lymphoma. She was blessed with a swift diagnosis and is undergoing intense chemotherapy currently and for the next 6 months.
My sister and I are no stranger being around illness. Our mother spent most of her life balancing the demands of being a single mother and mustering her strength fighting kidney failure, on dialysis. Kaci and I spent many years advocating for her and learning so much from her strength and determination. Unfortunately, now Kaci must use what she has learned to fight her own battle for her life. She has taken this beast on with bravery knowing a grateful heart is the most important treatment there is.
My sis is a tirelessly hardworking 1st grade teacher. One of the biggest heartbreaks to her has been taking an entire year away from her students to allow for treatment and healing. Unfortunately without disability insurance and unable to work, her family income will be severely impacted.
She is amazingly blessed with the undying love of a wonderful husband Travis, my beautiful nieces Loren and Ashlyn, her ultra-supportive in-laws, our Virginia family, her Riverdale Elementary family and countless friends-like-family in our close-knit home community of Franklin/Southampton County, VA. The show of support has been overwhelming, bringing her to tears almost daily. We cannot express how much love has been shown in this time of trial. Friends providing dinners, helping with the kiddos, even doing housework and driving her to appointments - really shows us all what is inside of your hearts.
Her struggle is far from over. Our family will continue to support her whatever ways we can, but if you feel you can help even just a little, your generosity touches our hearts.
