Showing Love for Kaci

Donation protected
Kaci Hearon is the most adorable and sweet young lady. Her smile can truly melt your heart.  She is also one of the strongest  due to the medical issues she has faced from birth including heart surgery and now spinal fusion surgery.  She gets her strength from her parents, Walter and Shannon Herron. They are the type of caregivers and parents that everyone dreams of having with or without special needs.  They never leave her side and provide Kaci with the love and support she needs no matter the personal sacrifice. They are proud people who never seek finacial assistance even when times get hard.  That is why I want to show them that sometimes you need to say "As hard as I have worked to make it on my own, It's Ok to ask for a little help to get through this tough time." Let's show our love to this family and help them with this emergency financial situation. They are missing work,  staying and eating at the hospital, and have travel expenses back and forth from Greenback to Knoxville.

Here is a little back story on what brought them back to the hospital with Kaci from her Dad:

"Many of you know that our little girl, Kaci Grace, has been at ETCH in Knoxville. She originally was here for a spinal fusion because of her scoliosis. She had a rod put in her back.
She was sent home and we had to return back to the hospital 1 1/2 days later. She was running a 102 fever. She was vomiting prefucially and was constipated. They readmitted her and we have been here all week. They ended up finding out, after a scope, she has erosive gastritis. They ended up putting a feeding tube in her and giving medication to help heal her stomach. They then ran a CT Scan with contrast and found out she has inflammation in her lower abdomen. They are going to do a colonoscopy to find out what exactly it is and what's causing it. I am asking for prayer for her as well as my wife. We are exhausted and Kaci is as well. Seeing her going through so much is heart breaking. She does not understand the tube and hurts from her major back surgery from last week, as well as her abdomen from top to bottom.
She has Down Syndrome and its difficult for her to express her pain because she has a high pain tolerance. She has broke down which shows us she is in extreme pain. My wife is not eating or sleeping well and I hate eating because kaci can't eat and my wife is so stressed.
This is a difficult time for us if you would pray it would be greatly appreciated."

Kaci is looking at being at the hospital at least another week and continuing her care at home when she is released.

When we come together, great things are possible. Remember, we are never alone- even when we feel that way.  All we have to do is reach out and show an act of kindness.  As human beings , we are capable of kindness that is boundless.  The only thing standing in the way is...you guessed it- making the choice to be kind. #OneActof Kindness
