Please...Pay It Forward In Jada's Name
I would like you to meet my beautiful, precious 5 year old daughter, Jada. In this last year, Jada was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation I and she also has a tethered spinal cord.
What is Chiari you ask and what is a tethered spine? It is a serious neurological disorder where the bottom part of the brain, the cerebellum, descends out of the skull and crowds the spinal cord, putting pressure on both the brain and the spine. Basically her brain is too big for her head and is pushing the cerebellum into the spinal cord. Jada has already had one decompression surgery however, her condition has not improved as it should have. She suffers from pain, nausea, balance problems, body/muscle weakness, spasms, chronic fatigue, passing out, choking, drop attacks, and added pain with laughing, sneezing, crying or bending over.
Jada's surgeon has finally decided that it is time for another MRI (brain and full spine) and a visit with him. He agrees that the symptoms that she is having are not normal by any means!! It is very stressful and it greatly saddens me that our little Jada has to suffer in this way.
Your prayers are requested for Jada. I would also like to ask you to Pay It Forward and help contribute to the expenses that will be involved. ANY amount would be greatly appreciated. The expenses will include: time missed from work by her caregivers, gas, food, transportation and housing when away from home for medical treatment and any other items that are necessary for Jada's comfort and recovery.
