The Cabrera Family Haunted House
Donation protected
For the eleventh year, our family is hard at work preparing to turn our home into a themed haunted house with the goal of raising money to purchase toys for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Christmas Toy Drive. This year’s theme is “The House of the Unhappy Pumpkins XI: Night Creatures” promises to be the most elaborate haunt yet. Each year we have increased the amount of toys donated (last year we exceeded our $25,000 goal and purchased 2,725 gifts). Our family pays the total costs of planning, building and running the haunt (which takes months to prepare and a full year to plan). We then donate $1 for each person who visits our house. We have some very generous friends who have traditionally matched our donations. Friends, family and neighbors will donate as well through checks, PayPal, Venmo or cash by the mail and at the door. ALL donations go towards the purchase of toys. Last year, we once again had over 1,250 visitors during the five nights we were open. We have established this GoFundMe campaign to again take the value of our donations to the next level. If all our Facebook friends were to donate just $15 dollars, we would well exceed our goal of $30,000. It’s time to have a little fun and help support a great cause. We (and the children of CHOA) appreciate any amount you wish to donate! We thank you for supporting our efforts. Again, 100% of the monies we receive go directly to purchasing toys.
