Loving Husband, Father, & Coach gone too soon!

Donation protected
On November 3, 2019, this community was robbed of an amazing man. Darvell Smith Sr. was a husband and devoted father of five boys. He was the tragic victim of gun violence. He was their sole provider and now his wife is left to raise five boys alone.

His family needs support with childcare costs so that his wife can go work, help with things the children need, bills, and to help give the kids a Christmas they deserve.

His family is mourning a great loss, along with many others in the community. Darvell was a youth football coach and a member of The Gate church where he helped out with many outreach programs. He had a passion for sports and was always present and active in community events. He took pride in his sports “trash talk” pages he was an administrator of. He and his family raised money and participated in the autism walk. Darvell had an infectious laugh; he was loving, caring, supportive, and would give you his last dollar if you needed it.

Darvell was a hardworking Teamster’s union member, who also worked a second job delivering bounce houses. He worked hard to provide for his family and they are lost without him.

Please support this family and help them get through this difficult time by donating and sharing this!
