Funeral Expenses for Ruben Ybarra

Ruben Ybarra was a good man. He loved his family, his friends, his brothers and sisters in the Lord and every person he came across. He looked tough but he was a gentle soul, always making everyone feel like a friend. He loved to read books, study the bible and encourage others. He gave everything he had, to anyone who asked, even if it was all he had.
Ruben worked hard to provide for his family but after a heart attack and sudden stroke back to back last year he could no longer work every day as he struggled to recover. After months of physical and speech therapy, surgeries and many trips to the hospital, his memory started to come back as did his strength physically.
On Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 Ruben woke his wife up at 5:00 am to talk. He shared some encouraging scriptures, said this "was going to be a good year for us", and was excited about the day. He planned out their day (he wanted to eat some pizza and get a Costco hotdog); he planned to drive around the beach and he mentioned wanting to take a trip to San Jose to visit his favorite book store and wanted to stop by New Harvest Christian Fellowship in Stockton to "visit Pastor Art".
Ruben died suddenly nine hours later without warning at his home in Monterey, California. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Malena Amezcua Ybarra, his daughters Ana Ybarra, Evonne Tagre and Grace Williams and his two sons Ruben and Nathan Ybarra.
We humbly ask for donations. Any donation amount to assist with moving his body from Monterey to Modesto and to assist with funeral and buriel costs. We also ask that you keep his wife and family in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle with the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and brother but most of all a wonderful man.
