For those of you that do not know, a year and a half ago I packed up my life and moved to Northern California to attend Life Chiropractic College West. I had no way of knowing that my world was about to drastically change for the better. Now in my 7th quarter of 14, I am pleased to announce that I have been given a very special opportunity to provide free chiropractic care to the wonderful people of Fuji.
As a member of the South Pacific Chiropractic Clinic Abroad (SPCCA), a non-profit organization who's mission is to share chiropractic with parts of the world, that do not have access to chiropractic today. I will be volunteering time to serve over my fall break with a group of other chiropractic students and doctors. Our goal for this trip is to deliver chiropractic service while also sharing proper nutrition, exercise, and healthy living habits to local residents. We will be embarking on our journey for a period of 10 days in September 2017.
To me, this service trip is all about how I can best serve the people of Fiji. Ultimately by giving back the knowledge, hard work, and training that I have absorbed. Most of all I want to help initiate positive change in peoples lives through art of chiropractic. It is truly a joy to see the empowerment in someone’s eyes as they are experience the maximum capacity of their body. The ability to connect and help facilitate another human being’s own healing process is truly beautiful, and I'm so blessed to be given the opportunity to provide this care to people that do not have the same opportunities and access to the resources that we have here in the United States.
In order for me to accomplish this, I need a little help. My goal is to raise $2800 which will help cover expenses including flight, lodging, transportation and food for the 10 days I am there.
