My Dear Friends ~
I write to ask you for your prayers and for your cold hard cash.
As you know, our friend and brother, needs a new liver. His medical expenses are and will be covered by Ohio Medicaid, however we still must figure out how to cover his living expenses as he and his donor convalesce in Cleveland after this surgery. Additionally, we look to support his caregivers as they travel back and forth to take care of him.
I have set the goal at $15,000, but luckily enough, gofundme will allow users to exceed the goal, so please feel free to give as much and as often as you like.
If you would rather give by check, please message me and I will provide details to you directly. Periodically, I will give updates as to how much we've received and how we've used your funds. I have set up a separate checking account for any donations made to our healing fund so to speak.
We're not sure when a liver will become available, so we ask for your continued prayers.

ps...just fyi -- I have set up this fund outside of any input from the Church. I promise that this money will be used for the good of our friend who shall remain unnamed here and his caregivers, but these monies will remain under my control and separate from any Church function. I offer this explanation for those who may not know that our friend is a priest and is therefore unable to receive funds in his name. We thank you for your kindness and generosity.
