This summer I've been in Hawaii with YWAM Honolulu for work crew in the kitchen, and man it's been an adventure! God has shown me so much and I've found joy like never before, plus the beauty of this island is so breath taking. When I first came here, I wasn't completely sure what I was going to do in the fall. Now that I've put my focus on what God has planned for me while I'm here, the DTS is what is next up in my adventure.
YWAM is Youth with a Mission, and our statement is to know God and to make God known. There are YWAM many bases around the world! The most well known school with this program is Discipleship Training School, and that's what I am planning on attending this September. There are 2 phases of the DTS: the training and outreach phase. For the first 3 months, I'll be training to go on this outreach and grow closer with God. In December I'll head out to a country across the world. I'm not sure what that country will be yet, we will have options and God will lead us to where we should go. The base normally sends their students to the Philippines, India, Nepal, Cambodia, Indonesia, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti, China, Bangladesh, or Thailand.
With this journey I am about to take sadly comes with large costs. If you're willing to partner with me to make this happen, that would be so wonderful. Whatever you feel like you should give is immensely appreciated! If not, it is completely okay. I'll be updating on facebook about my adventure a lot, and send out newsletters as well if you're interested!
