Prayers for Paisleigh

Paisleigh Faith Mack was born on January 12, 2015 @ 35 weeks gestation. Her parents Zane and Christina Jones Mack was told in August that they were expecting a baby girl and she has Trisomy 21 (Down's Syndrome). Their faith was strong that day and God's love has never waivered. Christina and Zane traveled every month to UAB to monitor the progress of their baby girl. In December they were told Paisleigh had fluid around her lungs and they would be monitoring that. Christina was put in bed rest at that time. With contractions getting harder and harder, she went to her regular doctor in Enterprise and they transported her by ambulance to UAB on 1-11-15. When arriving at UAB the plan was to try to stop the contractions but Paisleigh had different plans. After 30 hours of active labor her water broke and Paisleigh was here within the hour. She was very swollen when she was born and they took her right to the NICU. Upon arrival, doctors determined that Paisleigh not only had fluid in her lungs but throughout her chest and abdominal area as well as her head and her little face. She was diagnosed with Lymphodema which has to do with the lymph nodes not processing the fluids properly. In the middle of that first night she could not tolerate the fluid and started turning blue. They inserted a chest tube to relieve some of the fluid, but also taking the good fluid in which she needs. So they are trying to replenish proteins and nutrients back into her little body. She is a blessing to those that love her and God's gift. Every perfect gift is from up above. -James 1:17 and Paisleigh is that perfect gift. As her parents are trying to hold it together they should not have to think about expenses such as eating out, parking, housing, etc. They are on the waiting list for Ronald McDonald house, but the wait is long.
