<div><strong>Who they are</strong>: This incredible individual has tirelessly dedicated themselves to advocating for equity, justice, and inclusivity within our city. As a single parent, they have faced the unique challenges of balancing work, parenthood, and community service, all while striving to make our community a better place for everyone. At the precipice of being fully financially independent and stable after securing the job of their dreams, the rug was pulled from underneath them without any warning at all. Shockingly, their outspokenness and commitment to equity and transparency cost them their job.

<div>Throughout more than a decade of navigating demanding positions within the nonprofit and human service sector, our friend has consistently maintained job security without facing any threat to their livelihood. Having earned a graduate degree while balancing full time work and single parenting multiple children, there was never a question of what this person was able to accomplish or achieve.
