Help me help Dad

Donation protected
We're working diligently on bringing Dad back from acute leukemia. Today was day 10 of 10 in chemotherapy after the VA told us last Saturday that he was hopeless, going to just have to get comfortable and die. THEY WERE WRONG! How can anyone say that Superman or Batman or Indiana Jones or any of the many personas of my father is going to just lay down and die?!
We got him out of the VA's care and into amazing treatment at St. David's South, and we're hoping we can get him out of the hospital soon, but we have to make sure his heart and lungs are going to cooperate. There have been many complications surrounding these vital organs. He had to have his hard shocked yesterday morning to get him out of afib.
Guys, I am determined to keep him away from the VA system.
It almost took us too long to get him away from it, and it played a massive role in letting this get as bad as it did. We need help. We need advice, we need financial cushions, we need love and prayers and good juju or whatever it is you're into. We've had so much help already, but need to be able to get him comfortable with home health in the case that he ends up leaving the hospital soon (they are already planning!) and won't be able to afford the bills that the VA is refusing to cover, even though he is a #vietnamvet who was exposed to #agentorange, saved and helped lives nearing an end, and was exposed to a massive explosion of a bomb dump that was comparable to Hiroshima in Vietnam.
Some of you know that I am a single mother who has been working from home with my little lady for 2.5 years. We had to put her into school last week, which has given me flexibility to run in and take care as needed, but adds to the bills stacking as I'm unable to have the time to dedicate to much more than small social media projects.y daughter's father has been able to provide me as much relief as he can while trying to maintain his own income, and my sister has been taking over this last week as I've been sick and grieving the loss of my great friend who has been my lifeline through this whole thing with Dad.
This has absolutely been the scariest and hardest time of my entire existence.
*breathing.*
I can't even imagine how Dad feels.
Getting back to it- We don't know what to plan for at this point, which is why we, as a family, will be needing to have a financial cushion so that we don't have to reach an empass where Dad's health falls to the wayside as we try to keep our own lives afloat. Every minute that he's left alone is a potentially dangerous minute, especially if we're forced to go back to dealing with the VA, where, if literally ANY minute detail falls between the cracks, it could be to the detriment of our dad. I know this because I spent the last month and a half trying to save him from their mistakes and I DID.
We appreciate any help you can contribute, it all goes to the family now, even if it's sharing this post with friends who know how to help. The link to our is https://www.gofundme.com/k5ucce-help-me-help-dad. Thank you and big love out to the world.
