2018 Adopt-A-Family Campaign Recap LA Times/Glendale News-Press coverage
We started the Adopt-A-Family Club at Glendale High School in August of 2018, with a goal is to raise money and purchase Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in our community, identified through the Department of Children and Family Services, Los Angeles.
We hope to complete their holiday wishes by providing the children with everything on their wish-lists, budgeting about $150-$200 per child. The more money we raise, the more kids we will be able to sponsor.
Last year, we purchased gifts for more than 16 kids, ages ranging from 1-16 years old. We bought a karaoke machine, makeup from Sephora, art supplies, train sets, scooters and helmets, and much more, all thanks to the generous support from the community. The holiday is a time of joy and cheer and we aspire to focus on giving these kids a holiday that they will cherish forever.
This year, we hope to reach out to even more kids and we need your help to make this goal become a reality. Any amount helps! We need the money by December 13th in order to give us enough time to shop and wrap all the presents, so please donate and share our campaign to help spread the holiday cheer!
