I have started this campaign on behalf of my dear cousin Cassie Drum. Cassie is a 27 yo, single mother, of a dear sweet little girl named Lacey. Cassie was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma several years ago. She fought hard through one course of treatments and came out stronger than ever. She recently learned, however, that the cancer is back. She has undergone more chemo. She has also been told that she will need stem cell replacement therapy, and potentially other treatments, with the hope of completely eradicating it from her body.
Cassie's spirits are good as she is a fighter, but she is heartbroken that she will not be able to see her little girl for several weeks at a time during this process. Additional concerns relate to the extended amount of time that she will be off work and how to pay her bills and financially care for her little girl during that time, in addition to the surmounting medical bills.
We all know that stress/worries-- especially worries related to basic safety/security needs such as housing and paying bills-- can exacerbate illness. As such, please consider making a monetary donation in order to help lift some of these worries so that Cassie can focus all her mental/emotional effort on getting better and getting back to being the amazing and loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, cousin, niece, and co-worker that she is.
Cassie would never consider creating this account for herself as she is too humble, but hopefully, she will accept the contributions offered and know that she has contributed so much to all the lives she has touched and that she is very loved.
