Gracy's Hip Replacement

Gracy is a 6 year old Cane Corso who suffers from diabetes.  Her diabetes is well controlled thanks to the doctors at Clintonville Animal Hospital. I've committed to being available for Gracy since the diabetes was discovered 2 years ago.

Gracy is affectionate as I've found most mastiffs to be.  She suffers from hip problems like many dogs, but recently her hip has been extremely painful for her. 

While visiting my family in Florida, I arranged for a technician to visit my home 3 times a day to take care of Gracy including feeding her and giving insulin that she requires to live every 12 hours.  Being the sensitive big dog she is, Gracy wouldn't eat when I left town which meant she couldnt get her insulin shot.  Because of the danger of not getting insulin, some friends of mine came to the rescue and watched Gracy at their own homes until I returned. They managed to get Gracy to eat and she got her insulin shots on a daily basis. 

My friends who are dog lovers too have their own dogs .  Gracy's activity level with my friend's dogs while I was away injured her hip so severly that my vet said a total hip replacement is needed.

I can't afford to have the surgery for Gracy and I am faced with watching her live in pain or keeping her on pain meds for the remainder of her life.  I'm not ready to consider the other alternative which would end her pain. 

Any donation made would be appreciated.  Gracy's happiness is important to me. It's hard to watch her being almost unable to walk.  She should have several good healthy years left to enjoy.
