My Volunteer Trip to Coorg, India

Hello Family, Friends, Romans, Countrymen,
I will try to keep this short and sweet. As I continue the search for the beginning of my path in life, a wonderful opportunity has been presented to me. In the middle of April of this year, I will be travelling the globe to an area called Coorg, India for an incredible environment-based internship. Once I arrive in India, I will be working with an organization called the Kodagu Model Forest Trust. This is a program that was started in 2011 with the goals of helping to protect the environment in southern India, as well as the people who inhabit it. The main focuses of this program include helping to prevent the deforestation of sacred groves, mitigating Human-Animal conflict in the region, and helping to aquire and improve resources for local communities such as potable water and health insurance (amongst other projects). I have been asked to assist in the coordination between this program and the Indian government, reporting the progression of each individual aspect of the program, and to help establish new community forums in the area.
I am already well on my way to securing the funds to make this trip possible. So far, I have saved over $3000 by working hard and, much more painfully, living at home! (Just kidding, love you mom and dad). In order to cover all of the costs of this trip, I am going to need approximately $5000, and despite my efforts I am most definitely going to need some help. If you have even the slightest inkling to help one man's dream come true and make this trip a reality, I would be forever grateful. You would, in turn, be helping to make an improvement to the environment and people of the world. Not to mention, I would definitely bring you back the greatest keychain that you have ever seen.
