So recently, my grandmother passed away at the age of 92 from dementia. Her and my grandfather were together for over 50 years. Both her and my grandfather's social security incomes together were just about barely enough for them to get by. Now that my grandmother is no longer with us, he will not be pulling in that extra money anymore, making it a little harder to live.
The biggest thing is if he can get some of his big stuff paid off, like the SUV and potential home repairs, that would really help him save a little bit more money and just about being able to get by. He only gets so much, and he has tried to get on many government programs that help in this situation; however, it takes a lot of time, and sometimes they don't usually chip in that much. However, he usually will take what he can get.
I've tried to help him, and unfortunately, I can't do it alone. The last thing I ever wanted to ask for was help; however, we all need it at some point. Any help and, of course, prayers are appreciated, and if you have any other questions about this that you're concerned about, I will do my best to answer them. Thank you all so much in advance.
