Help a Nigerian Student Learn a Digital Skill

My name is Brent Ugoh, I'm a Nigerian with a great interest in technology. About 12 years ago when we had our family's first personal computer, I almost couldn't sleep again, lol, Because it sparked an interest in me, that I never really knew I had. I and my siblings were eager to always play with it either for computer games or surf the internet and I remember sometimes when it got faulty we did what we could to try and fix it, sometimes removing and inverting the Ram stick . But with all that interest we did not do a lot with it because we were not opportune to have people around us that would expose us to things that we can use a computer to do. Years went by and I'm older now but with that same interest and eagerness to know more about the digital world. In Nigeria growing up is really hard, a lot of opportunities are taken away from us together with the corruption that is destroying different sectors of the economy. An average Nigerian prays and hopes that he/she can have something to eat that day and then hope that as they leave their house they would be safe to return home after the days work. Even this particular fundraising platform isn't readily accessible from Nigeria (I'm grateful to have a cousin in the USA that's willing to help me start this campaign).
I am doing this campaign to raise money to buy a good laptop and to help pay for online classes/lessons  that would help me study to be a CERTIFIED DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR. The world today has everything gone digital and with my great interest in technology I am willing to take the necessary steps to be prepared for the future. I know database administrators are in demand in today's world and will always be in demand, and learning this skill would be of great use to me to take care of my future needs and also extend help to those who are in need just like I am now. I'm currently in a university in Nigeria studying ENTREPRENEURSHIP, and my desire is to be a Certified Database Administrator so that when I graduate from university I can be better equipped to get a job and possibly start a tech business of my own, one where I can also employ other people and help them achieve their goals and desires also. Every little or big contribution would be appreciated, and would go a long way to helping me achieve my goal. How and when the money will be spent will be updated periodically.

As his cousin abroad in the United States, I'll be sending any funds raised for Ugoh through a standard money wiring service like Western Union. 

For complete transparency, the computer cost is expected to be around $500 and he'll be looking to get one similar to an 8GB Lenovo IdeaPad which can be found on Amazon for $450. See here Lenovo Computer on Amazon 

Classes will be taken through a site like Coursera, Plurasight, Udemy, etc. and are estimated to cost $35-$50 per month for about 6months or more, a total estimated cost of between $210-$300. 

Our goal of $1,000 will ensure he can buy the computer he needs as well as finish a certified course through one of the education platforms listed above.
