Brandon's Study Abroad Experience

Hello, my name is Brandon Grant, I am currently a junior attending the University of Michigan. I have recently been accepted to a study abroad program traveling to Amsterdam, Netherlands, Germany, and Berlin. While traveling, I will be studying policy and service to enhance community participation and well-being. While traveling to Amsterdam and Berlin we will be focusing on 3 main topics, 1) Prostitution/human trafficking, comparing the European policy to the US 2) Juvenile justice of youth of color in immigrant communities 3) Art based community development.

This is a great experience that I am truly blessed to be able to pursue, however, with this amazing opportunity brings an amazing expense. I will be so grateful if I were given help to fund my education through this study abroad experience. I am currently studying psychology and want to attend the school of public health for administration and policy. I want to be able to make a difference in the world through health. Therefore, I believe this experience is important, for it will teach me how other countries operate compared to America. On campus I currently work at the league catering. I am a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and Pre Public Health Association (PPHA). I have been playing alto sax since 5th grade and have played with the Michigan pep band for a year. I have been working hard in school and have been preparing myself to make a difference. I have always wanted to study abroad and believe this will be a wonderful experience. I am asking help to raise $4000, which will cover the cost of my program. I would really appreciate any help that you all have to offer in order to make this dream become reality.
