Laying our mother to rest.

Linda Jean Brewer was a beautiful, fierce soul. Even with nothing, or in her lowest hours, she'd give you the shirt off of her back. She had a lot of kids, yet somehow she had a unique way of making everyone of us feel special. She made us all feel like we were her only child. The biggest lesson our mother taught us was survival. Taking nothing and turning it into something.  At times, we would watch our mother go into the store with $8 to buy food and somehow she'd make it last us almost 2 weeks. Spunky outwardly opinionated, sassy, caring, and filled with so much love for all. Our mother never wanted people to feel helpless or hopeless. As an advocate for the soft spoken, she gave people a voice and a purpose. On Thursday July 27th our mother tragically passed. It's ironic how she passed, because she died the way she lived. She had an unsuccessful heart surgery that claimed her life. It's ironic because she had a big heart, and even up until her very last day on this earth, she gave pieces of her heart away. It's unfortunate that this had to happen, however we all now have a piece of her heart with us The money that we're asking for as the Johnson family will allow us to lay our mother to rest, and cover the cost of the burial and services. Arrangements will be handled by Good Shepard Funeral Home and her remaining children. Anything that you are able to give will help, and if you can't give financially we would still love your prayers.

Thank you so much,

The Johnson family.
