Gonzalez Family Fund

Mrs. Gonzalez was a caring and beloved mother that unfortunately lost her battle against cancer on 1/12/15. She has left behind two young sons (3rd and 5th grade students at Langford Elementary), a daughter (11th grade at Akins High School), and her loving husband that was by her side throughout these difficult months. Her caring spirit lives on through the amazing job she and her husband did in raising their children thus far. All three of them are excellent students, kind and respectful individuals, and involved in extra-curricular activities within their school and their community.
Mrs. Gonzalez was first diagnosed with liver cancer on July 2014 and immediately began treatment to cure her disease. On Sunday, January 3, she was taken to the hospital with pneumonia that prevented her from continuing treatment throughout that week. Unfortunately the cancer gained strength and spread throughout her organs by the end of the week. Her husband and children were by her side and getting ready to take her home on Monday 1/12/15 to spend her last few days at home, as doctors believed she only had a few more days to live. On Sunday at midnight, she passed away leaving many of us with an empty space in our hearts.
This page was created in hopes of collecting money to help the family with any funeral and other miscellaneous expenses that need to be taken care of during these heartbreaking and painful times. Unfortunately, Mrs. Gonzalez did not have medical insurance or life insurance, therefore her family is left to pay these expenses out of pocket. Mr. Gonzalez has also been out of work for over a week to spend time with his children and would greatly appreciate any contributions to help his family during this time of need.
Teachers and friends have been very supportive and donated food and other things during their stay at the hospital but any other help would be tremendously appreciated. For any questions please send an email or leave a comment below and I will contact you at my earliest convenience.
