Helping Annie

This is my friend Annie!  She is one of the most giving, coolest, funkiest gals I know....and is a caring social worker.  She has been through a rough time and needs our help.  Here's her story.
On December 5th, 2002 she had a yearly mammagram and was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Because they caught it early, the only treatment she had was a mastectomy.  Life went on...
In the Fall of 2004, she started having symptoms in her sinuses, loss of hearing, and difficulty breathing.  After many days in the hospital for surgery, bone biopsy, PET scans, blood tests, etc., the results showed Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage llB.  She had four rounds of chemo and 30 days of radiation.
In the summer of 2006, she was told her cancer was in remission.  Life went on...
When she went to the surgeon to have her port removed, they found a spot on her arm that looked like melanoma.  After a biopsy, two days later she was in the hospital having surgery.  Luckily, she was once again cancer free.  Life went on....
This past November, Annie felt a sore under her tongue.  After a round of antibiotics and steroids, nothing was stopping the growth of this sore.  After further exams and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with Squemous Cell Tongue Cancer Stage I.  She had surgery on January 9th to remove a portion of her tongue.  Here are her words looking back on this journey, "I feel very blessed to be not only a survivor, but a conqueror of this dreaded disease.  The disease has not taken hold of my spirit and I actually think this illness has brought me closer to God, my family, and many friends.  I am a blessed woman indeed".
On Monday, January 12th, Annie's husband was going to have a procedure done on  his heart.  There have been some complications, and he is still hospitalized and undergoing tests.
Annie has been working part time at Cancer Care Services as a social worker and could really use the help with medical bills.  She is such a tough fighter and has endured so much.
Life will go on....but, hopefully we can help ease the financial burdens a little.
Thank you!
