Anyone lucky enough to know Vincent is well aware that he is a kind, outgoing, cheerful, hardworking individual.
Unfortunately his upbeat, energetic nature is being put through an incredibly difficult test.
In November of last year at the age of 25 he was diagnosed and treated for Cutaneous Angiosarcoma which is a type of cancer of the blood vessels. His initial treatment involved surgical removal of a tumor and a large area of skin around his left shoulder.
He is now undergoing a series of aggressive heat and radiation therapy treatments on his upper torso and arm. This intense regiment of treatment will happen five times a week for the next seven weeks with the future possibility of needing chemotherapy as well.
In addition to all of Vincent's health challenges, he has been out of work since his last surgery and is physically unable to work while undergoing treatment. His goals of moving up through the mechanical contacting field and entering the Steamfitters Apprenticeship Program are now on indefinite hold.
He is currently unemployed and will be uninsured by March so all of his living and ever mounting medical expenses will be "out of pocket" until he is well enough to return to work.
But somehow, despite all of this...
Vincent STILL possesses his typically positive outlook and has a driving will to carry on with a smile. He is facing this ordeal with his head held high and is looking forward to beating his illness once and for all.
