Let me paint you a picture:
This young family have already been through some incredible hardship after having a beautiful baby girl born 16 weeks early, Molly and moving to Brisbane from Mt Isa for family support and medical attention.
Fast forward 4 years, through the trials and tribulations ,they took the massive step of buying their first family home. They had taken the steps to put aside the funds to make the move and make the yard safe for their family pets and were cruising towards settlement when the unthinkable happened. Their beautiful 7 year old daughter, Lucy has been struck by an unknown bacterial infection. She is currently in hospital on ECMO (heart and lung bypass) and has had endured three operations in the last few days. Julie is spending every minute at the hospital with Lucy while Brad manages his time between the hospital and looking after their other two girls.
In the meantime, they are aware that they have limited time to prepare the yard for their move in a couple of weeks. In addition the funds they had put aside have been decimated by having a loved one in hospital.
