Shoes for Back to School

Dear friends and family –

About 35 years ago, we learned about a young girl struggling at school. One day, she was engaged, talking and outgoing, but the next day she was very quiet and withdrawn. The teacher contacted the mother and expressed her concern.

The girl's mother admitted that she was the mother of twins, but they only had one pair of shoes. Therefore, the girls take turns to go to school.

Our mother believes that it is fundamentally unfair to expect the poor to escape poverty when they lack the necessities of life. Therefore, she decided to do something about it.

For the past 34 years, my mother has collected shoes and other back-to-school supplies for the most unfortunate people. Many of you know that our mother passed away on August 23, 2017. She has just completed the 34th journey back to school.

Last week, the director of the center who distributed back-to-school supplies called our father and asked if he planned to help. Of course, Dad agreed, and we volunteered to help.

Therefore, our goal is to raise enough funds to buy 150 pairs of shoes (about $3,000). We hope to get your support.

Thank you for your love and support.
