First Annual Lexington Music Awards
The LEXINGTON MUSIC AWARDS are designed to add cohesion and a true sense of community to the local & regional music scene; to help raise the "quality" bar; to educate artists and fans alike on what's going on in the whole music community; integrate Lexington into the wider (national) music scene; and much more.
The First Annual LEXI Awards show will be held on Sunday, February 22 at the historic Lyric Theater in Lexington KY.
This was intendd to be small project that we woul dgrow over several years, but overwhelming public interest caught us off-guard. Suddenly, with no non-profit, no board or committee, and no time, we had to put it all together...and we're doing it!
Now, we just need to raise enough cash to help us pay for everything. Its really that simple!
In a nutshell, the rough figures are:
$2500 - venue
$1200 - physical awards
$1000 - merch fee
$750 - printing costs
$2000 - performer & MC pay
$1000 - miscellaneous
SOOO......
1) all donations get their name under "contributor" in the printed programs and a shout out on FB.
2) $250 donations and YOU get to be an awards presenter (transferable), your personal or business name under "bronze sponsor" in the printed programs, and FB shouts.
3) $500 and you get to be an awards presenter (transferable), your personal or business name in the program under "silver sponsor", and FB shouts.
4) $1000 and you get to be an awards presenter (transferable), your personal or business name AND LOGO in the printed programs under "gold sponsor", your name read from the stage at the event, and FB shouts.
5) $2500 and you get to be an awards presenter (transferable), your personal or business name AND LOGO in the printed programs under "elite sponsors", your name read from the stage at the event at opening and closing, and FB shouts.
(**awards presenters may be 1 or 2 presenters per award, depending on number of contributors)
