Hello,
My name is Danielle Boyd and I go to NYU and I am majoring in Film and Television. This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be selected to intern at the Berlinale International Film Festival.
The Berlinale Film Festival is the meeting point for over 8,000 professionals throughout 95 countries to meet and showcase their films in the European Film Market (EFM). "The forms of cooperation and the possibilities for creative interaction are countless". It is here that I will have the opportunity to intern alonside the 400 companies that come through the festival.
From this internship, I expect to gain:
1. A better understanding of the process and transition films undergo as they move from production to festival and then onwards.
2. A better grasp on the negotiation of film rights.
3. A better understanding of the Global Film Industry.
With this knowledge, I intend to improve my outlook on the film industry as a whole, diversify my style, and better envision my approach to the industry.
