Coming to America
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Colleagues!
When Ukraine was invaded, my sister and her family
were forced to abandon their home to escape the bombings. Like many other
families, they traveled from place to place looking for shelter. Their journey
started in Donetsk, then they traveled to Mariupol, followed by Dnipro, and
then Ternopil.
For months, I tried to find a way to bring them to America and offer my three-and-a-half-year-old niece - Yaroslava a shot at a better future. I cannot be more excited to share that they are finally coming here, through United for Ukraine
program. My sister is arriving here next week - June 15th!
Unfortunatley, my sister is coming here just with her daugher. Under the
Martial law, her significant other cannot leave Ukraine. Her trip to America will start later this week with crossing the border over to Poland, flying from
Krakow to Amsterdam and then arriving in Salt Lake.
In an effort to help them get settled in the U.S. and support immediate
expenses like daycare, filing for employment authorization, obtaining a
drivers license, and many others expenses- I put together this Go Fund Me campaign and Target Wish List. They are coming to America with two suitcases
of clothing, the rest was left behind in Donetsk when they fled.
No amount is too smalland will go a long way to help my sister Lisa and her
daughter - Yaroslava. Thank you so much for your support!
