Help my Dad’s Disneyland dream come true.

As a few of you will know, just before Christmas my Dad, Ken, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a bone marrow cancer. He is 65 years old, he is still young, and he has been diagnosed with an awfully cruel disease. A lot of you will know him from different stages of your life; he may have took you for football training, he has probably give you a lift in his car, looked after you in the youth club that he volunteered in for 20+ years, you could’ve played alongside him when he played football in his youth, and there is a tonne of other stuff to include in that, but one thing I can GUARANTEE that my Dad has done for you is make you happy. All through his life my Dad has done A LOT for people because he LOVES seeing people happy, that is the sort of person he is. The only return my Dad asks for when he does something for you is a laugh or a smile; he LOVES people, and people love him. I’ve never heard ONE person say a negative thing about my Dad, everybody loves him and he loves everybody. As a lot of you will know my Dad has 5 grandchildren, who he loves with every bit of his wonderful heart, and he has told us that the one thing that he wants to do is to go with all of us to Disneyland Paris. My Dad has spent so much of his life making sure that I’ve had everything I could ever want, now it’s MY turn to help him, so I’m (once again!) entering the Chester Half Marathon to raise money to make his dream come true. I know this is a lot to ask, but this fundraiser to help take him to Disneyland with his family would mean more than the world to him, and give him the most wonderful memory that he will treasure, we all will, and he, myself and my family would be ever so grateful for that. He may not be faster than a speeding bullet or more powerful than a locomotive, or able to leap tall buildings at a single bound, but he is a Superman that exists, and the only one that I have ever wanted or needed, and if I or anyone else ever needed him he would be there as fast as he could be to help. My family and I would like to thank you all for all of your love and lovely messages to my Dad, we have read every single one to him and we always pass on your well wishes to him. Thank so all so, so much for your love and support, it truly means the world to my family and most of all, the one person who matters the most, my Dad, a real hero. ❤️
