How to start a plea for help? I guess I will just jump into it.
Today I got a phone call from my little sister, balling her eyes out, her 8 month old husky had been hit by a car on a highway, my heart broke. Money didn't even cross her mind as she had him rushed to the emergency vet. $2200 later, we find out he needs a $10,000 (if she was lucky) surgery. Turns out, Rocky had a broken vertebrae, broken pelvis, and a colapsed and bruised lung. We are trying everything we can, called over a dozen different vets for different opinions and options, but vets don't offer payment plans. Taylor, is a student, 10$ is a lot for her, but Rocky is her world. Our family is devastated, we have had some unlucky times, and anyone who has a pup understands how much they are part of the family and how completely traumatizing this can be. My parents and I are helping where we can, but this is much too much for us to bare on our own.
So, here we are turning to you in desperation. We need your help as soon as possible, vets require a 50% up front payment and the remaining half immediately upon completion. Taylor needs to make this decision tomorrow, she will make a visit to the bank, and we will try our best, but as it goes, anything from you helps.
Please help us save Rocky, he is the sweetest, dopiest, clumsiest, most beautiful little pup, and now is not his time. The vets have faith that he will live a great life if he survives this, we have faith he will.
