Harley's Journey

This is our teammate Harley, an exceptional student, friend, athlete, and overall great kid. Harley turned 17 on June 13th and is a senior at Mission Viejo High School. She is a die-hard cheerleader having cheered for 13 of her 17 young years. Harley currently cheers at her high school on their varsity team and at South Coast Cheer in Southern California on the 2x Worlds Champion team, Fearless. Last week Harley went to school and practices not feeling so great, as so many of our kids do every day. After some elevated blood work she was sent to Children's Hospital of OC and within 24 hours had her first chemo treatment. Harley has been diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia (APL). This is a fast-moving form of cancer but can be highly treatable in young people with aggressive treatment. Harley and her parents are embarking on a difficult 8-month treatment journey. This journey is going to be a long one that will require her parents by her side. Aside from the emotional toll of watching their child fight cancer, there will be a significant financial burden as well. No parent should have to worry about finances while helping their child through the fight of their life. With that thought in mind, we have created this Go Fund Me page to help relieve some of the immediate financial burdens that will come along with this intensive treatment. There is no donation too small and EVERY penny and prayer is appreciated.
