Dear family, friends, and all those who new Alex,
Alexander Elliott died suddenly on Tuesday the 6th of February, less than one month from his last birthday. After passing out, Paramedics were called to the scene to began life saving measures. As they were unable to resucitate him, he was transferred to Memorial Willowbrook in an attempt to continue to save his life. After working tirelessly for over an hour the staff explained he never regained a heartbeat and was pronounced dead at 2;30 AM. Preliminarily findings were that he had a blockage in his heart, that had never been discover during routine checkups.
Alex enjoyed helping others whenever he could. His final act of kindness was to donate the majority of his bones, tissues, nerves, eyes and skin to help save the lives of others. Alex was funny and silly, and had a big heart. He cared deeply for family and friends, and even for people he did not know well that were going through a rough time. If he was able to help someone less fortunate than himself he would try, even if he did not always have much for himself.
Although Alex did have insurance it will not cover the hospital he was transported to or EMS services. This will leave the burden of those bills to be paid for by his mother. A certificate identifying cause of death can also not be released until further examination of the heart is completed. The medical examiner has stated this could be up to month or more. This will further hold up benefits needed to pay for his medical and funeral costs. Therefore we are hoping to raise funds to cover the expenses for the funeral and medical bills that will come after the fact. Any amount is greatly appreciated. All funds go to his mother Kristen Elliott who is in charge of his arrangements.
