Ellen Elkins Family Relief

On January 8, 2015, Ellen Elkins, beloved daughter, sister, wife and Mom of 4 delightful children passed away suddenly in New Haven, Connecticut. She was stricken at home with and despite valiant efforts of paramedics and hospital staff, her weakened body simply could not come back.
She had suffered a series of illnesses over the past 15 years leaving her with Diabetes and Crohns Disease and yet continued to exude confidence, love and humor to all she came in contact with.
In recent years, her family faced serious financial issues resulting in having to move in with her husbands mother in a small house in Meriden. Despite these struggles, she continued to be a giver saying that although she and her family may be struggling, there were others that had even less than they did.
After considerable thought and at the request of literally hundreds of people, we have established this program to help in alleviating the expenses incurred as a result of this recent attack and subsequent death. In addition, there are 4 young children now left without a dedicated loving Mom. and the balance of the fund shall be utilized to provide items above and beyond the everyday needs of chidren, including education.
All funds are being administered and distributed by Dennis L. Elkins, Father of the deceased and Grandfather of the 4 children in accordance with the preceeding paragraph.
We extend thanks and deepest appreciation to all that have extended prayers, condolences and sympathy at this terrible moment in these young children's lives, a true testimonial to the type of person Ellen was.
