King of Hearts Drop-In Center

Who we are.

Never Again Fellowship is a group of volunteer prison chaplains and former felons who joined forces in March of 2012 to mininster to the homeless, many of which are veterans, and some parolees.

Why do we need a drop-in center?

These men, women and even families have had some sort of drastic change in their lives and as a consequence they now live on the streets of Fresno. Some have found shelter in roach infested motels. Others have lost their jobs and couldn't pay their rent or mortgage. Still others are outcasts because of various vices in their lives. Many live in tent cities which breed crime, drug and alcohol abuse. Others get sick and die because of prevelant diseases in such camps. Needless to say, they are all "down on their luck".

A little bit about us and what we do.

The King of Hearts Drop-In Center, a faith based ministry of Never Again Fellowship,  will be a place in their neighborhood where the homeless can find counseling, an occasional hot meal even a computer to help them with their job search, proper clothing for job interviews; even a friend. They need someone to reach out and help them to become assets to their families, church and community.

*  Hot meals will be served on a regular basis. We will be needing volunteers to help with this and other aspects of our ministry.

* Computers will be available to help them with their job search.

* Accessability to proper clothing for job interviews.

* Computers to help them get their highschool diploma or to attend on-line classes at Fresno City College.

*Assistance in applying for education grants.

* Affordable housing will be available on a limited basis.

* Spiritual counselling as well as Bible Studies and church services on a weekly+ basis.

* Sponsors/mentors to help them walk a Christian walk of faith

Never Again Fellowship Quarterly Luncheons

A Typical Never Again Fellowship Luncheon

On the first Sunday of the third month of each quarter we have a Fellowship Luncheon to let folks know what our progress has been.  These luncheons are attended by prison chaplains, parolees, former parolees, and ordinary citizens concerned with recidivism and the revolving doors of California's prison system.

These no host luncheons are also used as fund raisers to let folks know how their investment in this ministry has benefited our community. It is also a time to share any special needs that may have come up.

A speaker shares words of enouragement to those in attendance. The speaker is normally an individual who once had scraped bottom, but now with the Lord's help has come out of that situation. They are now gainfully employed, as well as reconciled to their family, friends and community. They no longer are looked down on, but rather looked up to as good examples to others who may be going through a crisis in their lives.
