THE DAY THAT CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER
It was November 11th, 2014, only two weeks previous, I had celebrated my 25th work anniversary and 10th year wedding anniversary to my loving wife Briscella. I was having headaches for two weeks straight and decided to go to the emergency room instead of work and have myself checked out. After having a MRI scan, the doctor revealed the shock of my life, that I have two brain tumors that are cancerous and have a life span of 6 months to live. Having my wife next to me, 8 months pregnant with our third boy, was hard on me to know what is going to happen to them. I have worked for a company for 25 years and one day, was told that you shouldn't return to work because I had a bigger battle ahead of me was devastating to adjust to. We are confronted everyday with the rules of applying for disability, something I never had to deal with, is very challenging. Not only do you lose your physical freedom, your job and finances but your insurance soon as well. I'm determine to fight and spend every moment with my family as I can. We now have three boys. My wife just gave birth to another beautiful boy name Corey. I plan to be a part of his life as much as I can.
