Our beloved friend and coworker of 19 years, Melissa has been battling cancer for the past 3 years. She is a mother 0f 3 beautiful children, 2 daughters 18 and 7 and 1 son 3 years of age. She went through harsh, invasive treatments attempting to spend as much time with her children as possible.
Her story is one that shows how your life can change instantly and you're forced to make changes, but her character, strength and courage is one to be praised and commended. About 18 months ago she had to leave work due to the strenuos amount of treatments she needed. At that time she had a full time job & her own business selling cosmetics. She had to begin traveling over 150 miles to get the best treatment she could and gas, food, hotel fees began to mount up along with other bills. Along with having her oldest daughter beginning college and 2 small children to still provide for, things have become overwhelming.
Since the beginning of this year, she has been in and out of the hospital and is currently hospitalized now.
Though her financial situation changed, she never looked for handouts or sympathy, and if you met her you wouldn't have ever known she was dealing with such an illness.
So this 'Go Fund Me' is for the help she and her family needs and deserves. So with all that said, I myself, her and her family will be incredibly grateful if we can make this goal come true.
