Hutch's Medical and Expense Fund

My name is Tracy Kinney, everyone I know just calls me T or TK. I'm a bass player in the Akron area and I have found a band of brothers that I truly consider my brothers. One of them, John Hutchens, has become very, very ill.

This man means more to me than I can even express. John and his beautiful wife Bev have been the absolute embodiment of true and lasting love. Not only have they inspired us with their awesome love for one another, but they have also helped so many people in so many ways for longer than I can remember.

As founders of the Summit County Songwriters, John and Bev have provided a supportive forum for local aspiring musicians and songwriters to share the stuff that their hearts love. I cannot begin to even imagine the number of people whose lives have been made better by the fact that these two exist.

John has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of an unkown origin, and is currently undergoing radiation treatments. He's having some serious kidney issues, so is not strong enough for chemo right now, but we're hoping a brief stay in a local rehab facility will get him strong enough for treatment. The medical opinions of many of his care providers have been pretty bleak, but I have faith in him and his absolute stubborn-ness, and I know how much he loves his wife.

This is a big, ugly, crazy situation, and they could use our help guys.

Please, help out in any way you can. Any donations received will be used for medical and personal expenses for John and Bev.

Those of you that know them understand what I mean when I say that John and Bev Hutchens are our family, and family sticks together.  Even if you don't know them, they still consider you family...
