Alex's Medical Mission Trip to Peru

I have an exciting medical mission opportunity coming up in May 2015. As you may know, I began graduate school last year pursing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. As I have embarked on this new adventure, I have become involved with the Christian Medical Dental Association (CMDA) on campus.
For the past 20 years, CMDA has planned a mission trip to serve abroad, and this year I am beyond excited to get to be a part of a weeklong trip to Peru. Our team will include about 25 students from many different programs on campus, such as nursing, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other allied health programs.
We will be working at a free health clinic that will be providing medical care to impoverished communities in Peru. I will be one of only two pharmacy students working at the clinic’s pharmacy. Because of my fluency in Spanish, I am particularly well suited for this mission trip. This is a great opportunity to serve the people of Peru and share the message of Christ with them.
I am happy to share this news with you and I graciously ask for your support for this mission trip. I have to raise about $2000 for this trip. This will pay for my flight, lodging, food, and supplies for the trip. Any donation amount would be appreciated!
