Dear Friends,
As many of you know, one month before Ben and Mary Catherine’s wedding last December, Ben was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He immediately underwent surgery to remove the cancer and begin his healing process. After testing, it was determined that Ben would need to receive one round of chemotherapy treatment as well. The day after Ben and Mary Catherine returned from their honeymoon, Ben received the chemotherapy over a period of one week, and is now recovering very well from his treatment. Because of the nature of Ben’s diagnosis, Ben & Mary Catherine chose to keep it semi-private leading up to their joyous wedding. They are anticipating more testing that may require further treatment in the near future. I wanted to create this page so that I could encourage friends and family to consider supporting them both financially and in prayer during this time of unexpected medical expenses and emotional trying times.
They have both handled everything so gracefully by trusting in the Lord and giving the process over to Him. I am so thankful to have them both as role models in my life! I also want to extend my thanks to those who have supported our family over the past few months - we love you so much! Please consider supporting the Hess newlyweds as they navigate this time and begin their journey together.
