Study Abroad in South Korea

Hello, my name is Kevin Vue and I come from a Hmong family of six children living in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I am the first child in my family to go to college which is a challenging yet exciting life experience. I enjoy learning and seeking new experiences to make me a better person than yesterday.


I am a third year college student (junior) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I wish to learn more about the diverse cultures in our world, and traveling is one of the best way to do it. There was an opportunity offered to study abroad in South Korea this spring term that I was really interested in. I have applied and been waiting impatiently day-to-day about my admission.


Just yesterday, I was contacted that I have been accepted to study in South Korea this spring! It is such a gratifying feeling to be given this opportunity. But, it was also a very short notice for me to properly plan my trip financially. I will be leaving at the end of February and coming back in mid – June.

I will greatly appreciate if you, my families and friends, could help assist me on this life changing dream of mine for the next few months. Great memories and experiences will be brought back with me to share with you all especially for those who have not yet travel abroad. And, for those of you who had travel outside of US, I hope to get your guidance.
