<div>This is something I'm not used to posting, but in this specific time in my life, I can't be afraid to ask for help when I need it the most.

<div>I found a lump on my breast and went to get it checked as it was starting to cause pain, discomfort and redness started to appear. I went in for an ultrasound to get it checked and wasn't leaving without a mammogram. After lots of tests, procedures and appointments with doctors, I have been diagnosed with stage 2 type 3 breast cancer as it has also spread to my lymph nodes. At 26 years old. My life has taken a complete 180 in the worst was possible.

<div>To top it off, due to being so young and diagnosed with breast cancer and needing chemo as a treatment, this can have serious risks and affects on conceiving children naturally as chemo will damage my eggs. With that being said, I'm undergoing an egg retrieval surgery to give myself the best possible chance of having biological children in the future.

<div>Myself and my partner will be off on disability as he will be my main caregiver as I will be undergoing egg retrieval surgery, chemo, surgery to remove the lump on my breast and potentially some lymph nodes and radiation over the next year and therefore, we won't have a steady and reliable income. 2025 prices have only risen and will continue to do so and the costs are adding up; medication that isn't covered, storage fee for the freezing of the eggs, gas, parking (not to mention things that are not cancer and fertility related such as mortgage, bills, property taxes, groceries, car payments etc.).

<div>J'ai trouvé une bosse sur mon sein et je suis allée la faire examiner parce qu'elle commençait à causer de la douleur, de l'inconfort et des rougeurs commençaient à apparaître. Je suis allé passer une échographie pour le faire vérifier et je ne suis pas reparti sans une mammographie. Après de nombreux tests, procédures et rendez-vous avec des médecins, on m'a diagnostiqué un cancer du sein de stade 2 de type 3, car il s'est également propagé à mes ganglions lymphatiques. <div>Pour couronner le tout, étant donné que je suis si jeune, que j'ai reçu un diagnostic de cancer du sein et que j'ai besoin d'une chimiothérapie comme traitement, cela peut entraîner de graves risques et affecter la conception naturelle des enfants, car la chimiothérapie endommagera mes ovules. Cela étant dit, je subis une opération de prélèvement d'ovules pour me donner les meilleures chances possibles d'avoir des enfants biologiques à l'avenir.

<div>Mon partenaire et moi serons en congé d'invalidité parce qu'il sera mon principal soignant car je subirai une opération de récupération d'ovules, une chimiothérapie, une intervention chirurgicale pour enlever la grosseur sur mon sein et potentiellement certains ganglions lymphatiques et des radiations au cours de la prochaine année et par conséquent, nous n'aurons pas un revenu stable et fiable. En 2025, les prix n'ont fait qu'augmenter et continueront de le faire, et les coûts s'additionnent ; médicaments non couverts, frais d'entreposage pour la congélation des œufs, essence, stationnement (sans parler des choses qui ne sont pas liées au cancer et à la fertilité comme l'hypothèque, les factures, les taxes foncières, l'épicerie, les paiements de voiture, etc.).
