Our Daddy's Walk Again Fund

My name is Joe Atwood, I'm a husband of an amazing wife and daddy to 2 wonderful girls. On Dec. 11th, 2009 our lives changed in an unimaginable way, I was involved in a horrible car accident that broke my neck leaving me a quadriplegic. We were told I would never move again from the chest down, but by the grace of God I began to regain movement and over the first few years I was able to achieve remarkable accomplishments that I can only attribute to God. Through insurance covered physical therapy I was able to walk 60 feet with a walker, unfortunately insurance would not continue covering my therapy and for the past two years I haven't been able to continue with any progress. Through research, I have found an aggressive physical therapy organization called, Project Walk. They are having amazing success with those who are able to attend, people with similar injuries have started in wheelchairs and left walking using arm crutches. This therapy is very costly and not covered under most insurances, for the length I would need to attend plus transportation and other supplies will cost around 100,000 dollars for approximately 1 and a half years.
