A Fight for Mike - Bike Around Lake Simcoe

22 year old Michael Hall was recently admitted to Vancouver General Hospital where he underwent an intensive 12 hour, emergency heart surgery. During the surgery Mike went into cardiac arrest and although the surgeons were able to save his life the severity of the neurological effects from the subsequent coma are still unknown.

My name is Tom Schellenberg and I am doing a 24 hour (over 250 kilometers) winter bike ride with my brother on January 04th to support Michael Hall and his family through an extremely difficult time. We will be riding from Mike's hometown of Bolsover, Ontario, all of the way around Lake Simcoe and back to the Bolsover store. Please help us during this time to raise awareness and funds for Mike and his family.

Mike has a very long road to recovery and is set to be in the ICU for a minimum of 4 weeks. We are starting this Gofundme to help Michael's family be able to continue to support him in Vancouver as best as they can during this extremely difficult time.

If anyone knows Michael, he is the most kind, caring and genuine person you could ever meet. Your support will help make it possible for Mike's parents, Dan and Sandi to be able to afford to remain in Vancouver and support their son through this lengthy medical process and future rehabilitation.
