Support the Shanafelt's

On February 21, 2013, an unexpected seizure in the checkout line at the grocery store, resulted in a discovery that Grant had a baseball-sized tumor on his brain. That tumor turned out to be Stage 4 Anaplastic Astrocytoma, one of the most agressive forms of brain cancer.

Two years later, with such disheartening news, time together is numbered by the days for Grant and Brittany. With the end nearing much sooner than we fathomed, the abstract thought of paying for a funeral is becoming a quick, dismal reality. With no life insurance in place, the cost of this is stressful, inconceivable and impossible without the support of those around them.

Brittany works so hard to balance working to keep an income for the family and spending the last precious days with her other half, care taking. At this time she has made the choice to be home with Grant, without any income, so she can be by his side caring for him. This puts even more undue stress financially, which we want to help lighten that worry. Please help ease this heartbreaking financial burden by donating. Everyone asks what they can do to help. As awkward of a response to give, but very truthful at this point, it would be financial donations.

Thank you for taking the time to read Grant & Brittany's story. Words cannot even begin to express the deep gratitude and appreciation Grant, Brittany and their families have for everyone who has shared their story and donated.
