Justin Swanson legally blind eSight

I am legally blind with low vision, that means I am not completely blind, but I still see, I still have a difficult time with seeing. One of my diagnosis is called Keratoconus. You may be wondering what that is so let me tell you. It is when the cornea thins out and bulges like a cone. Changing the shape of the cornea, the cornea brings light rays out of focus. As a result, my vision is blurry and distorted. This makes my daily activities difficult to do simple things like reading, watching TV with my kids and wife,  and that is just naming a few things that I deal with.

I also have a color deficiency, that means that I have difficulty telling certain colors apart from each other. I am not color blind because I can still see colors. When the eye doctor gives you the color test when you get your eye’s checked. He will show you cards that has several colors on it and you should be able to see a letter or a number within those colors. Well, I can’t see most of those at all. 

I am also a full-time student and while in class I can see about 95% of what the instructor puts on the board, and that is with me sitting in the front row of the class. The eSight headgear would really help me out at school while I am in class or just reading a text book. It really would be great to be able to see what the instructor puts on the board for a change. Since I can’t see what the instructor puts on the board most of the time I really rely on my hearing during class. 

With the eSight headset I could live life a little better. I could see better and do things better as well. It can also help me out in college as well especially in class. It would be a huge life changer for me. Thanks for considering and donating.
