We're gonna wait a week or two before placing the order. We still hold hopes that the camera could be returned, or it could turn up at a pawn shop, or the insurance company could change their minds about reimbursing Justin for stolen equipment, or the right person could notice that the wrong person has it... Who knows. We just wanna treat spending the community's funds as a last resort.
If the situation is miraculously resolved, all funds will be returned via GoFundMe straight back into the bank accounts of all donors.
Note to the thief: You're not just stealing from Justin anymore, you're stealing from 30 of the most generous people in our community. You have a week to get it back to Justin.
Most importantly, we all turned a scummy situation into a beautiful display of generosity, and we showed Justin how much he really is adored, supported and backed by his people.
