<div>Meet Justine Rodriguez, a remarkable 39-year-old mother to her son Mateo, a loving wife to Nelson, and a devoted friend and savior to both humans and animals alike. Justine's compassionate heart knows no bounds as she consistently goes above and beyond to help those in need, whether it be caring for her elderly patients, fostering and rehoming countless dogs, or providing a listening ear to her friends and family.

<div>In March of 2024 Justine was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Retromolar Trigone. In layman’s terms, oral cancer.  Justine has qualified for a clinical trial due to her cancer remaining localized. The treatment for the trial will be immunotherapy. After immunotherapy she will have surgery on April 24th. This will be a very invasive surgery as they have to perform a resection of her jaw bone. She will be on a feeding tube for a while afterwards and unable to work. Radiation may follow as it is common with this type of cancer.
