This weekend our good friend and former USA Eagle 7s and 15s, and Tiger Rugby star player Justin Boyd suffered his second major health setback in the last two years. After suffering from a mini- stroke last year, Justin was rushed to the hospital over the weekend with severe chest pain. After an immediate EKG, it was determined that JB had suffered a heart attack with 100% blockage in an artery, and required immediate emergency surgery to insert a stent.

Thankfully the operation went well, but now Justin has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Numerous tests are needed to understand why he continues to suffer from coagulation of his blood, and further medical procedures may be ahead of him. At this time we are still awaiting test results.

At a young 33 years old, Justin has always given it his all to his teammates, the kids he coaches and his friends on and off of the pitch. For those that know him, he is a picture of health, and in fantastic shape. Sometimes the genetic just don't play along with ones otherwise healthy lifestyle.

Now it is time to reach out to the rugby community to help ease Justin's road to recovery. Any small donation would be greatly appreciated, and if that's not possible we just request that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
