During the late evening hours of January 29th 2019, our sister Zanobia Sterba and her boyfriend Leigh were walking along the quiet historic streets of downtown St Augustine. While strolling past the Historic Tolomato Cemetary, they were horrifically struck by a vehicle that was being operated by a drunk driver; later identified as Justin Lee Edwards.
Zanobia was taken by Life Flight to Orange Park Medical Center where she is currently in critical condition. Her pelvis was shattered, as was her lower spine, both legs, and both feet. Completely shattered by drunken negligence. She will be medically sedated for the next few days while she undergoes multiple surgeries to fix all possible damage.
Leigh was very fortunate to only suffer from a broken nose, neck sprain, and a few stitches.
This horrific accident could've taken our sisters life!
Noby is facing a very long and difficult road to recovery and could use all of our help and support!
