Andres Tobar, kindergarten teacher at Marshall Elementary School in the Mission district of San Francisco, has been arrested for child endangerment, stemming from an incident in December 2017 in which he allegedly "dangled a child over the school balcony."
Cientos de padres, estudiantes y exalumnos de Marshall, y amigos y vecinos del Mr. Tobar sienten que estos cargos son en el mejor de los casos, exagerados y, en el peor de los casos, falsos. Hundreds of Marshall parents, students and former students, and friends and neighbors of Mr. Tobar feel that these charges are at best, exaggerated, and at worst, false. Everyone who knows Mr. Tobar agrees that he is an extremely dedicated, loving, kind, committed teacher. We have seen his devotion to Marshall school and to our children. We do not believe that he would knowingly put a child in danger. We will continue to stand by Mr. Tobar, as he has stood by our children, in his hour of need.
We are raising money to support his legal defense, and to support his family if he is fired by the school district. (Right now he is on paid leave.) Please give back to Mr. Tobar a little bit of what he has given to our community for the last 20 years.
